Playing Catch Up...December!

So it has been a very long time since I have updated our blog...so sorry! In order to catch up from the last couple of months here is an overview of December 2009. We had a great time celebrating the Lord's birth the entire month. There were several days of cookie decorating and craft making with Daddy and our play group.
Although, I miss having my side of the family around for Christmas, it was nice to not travel this year (next year everyone is coming to Charlotte!). Christmas eve was spent with Bobby's parents, brothers, Anna and my good friend Jen and her husband and son. We went to the early 'children's service' so the boys wouldn't be too tired. Then everyone came to over to our house to eat good food and have great fellowship. It is a tradition in my family to have hor dourves on Christmas eve, so that is what we had this year as well. Robby and Tyler probably had too many treats, but they had such fun playing together!
Christmas morning, Bobby's parents and brothers came over again for Christmas brunch and opening gifts. What a blessing it is to have family close by to share in the joy we have through Christ Jesus our Lord! Robby had so much fun opening presents and showed such appreciation through his "oh's!" I think the adults had more fun watching Robby open gifts than anything else. He melted our hearts when he opened a gift from David's sweet girlfriend, Anna. Inside was a soft, adorable dog, which he named 'baby.' Robby rubbed noses with the dog and quietly whispered baby while hugging it gently. I am so thankful for those tender moments God gives us.
We ended the day with dinner over at my in-laws. My mother in-law's sister, husband, three boys, and granddaughters were there to celebrate with us. Once again the food was fabulous and the company even better. Robby loved playing with Alana and Akayla.

Here are some photos of our joy-filled month.
