Can it be that Robby is already 19 months! Time seems to fly by. No longer is he my little baby, but an on-the-go, non-stop toddler!. Robby is such a delight and it is a great privilege to be his mommy and watch him grow. Just recently (basically the last two weeks or so) his vocabulary is multiplying rapidly. Today while we were at a friend's house for a play date, he said 'open,' and 'was(what's)that?.' This kid keeps life interesting and me laughing all the time. He is a very independent little man who likes to do EVERYTHING himself. Everyday he amazes me with the things he knows how to do. Robby climbs into his car seat and booster seat, he can buckle his own straps on the booster seat, put on his shoes, comb his hair, helps get himself dressed, eats with a real fork, imitates everything we do, searching for airplanes-he spots them before I do most of the time, loves to figure out how things work(maybe an engineer in the making??)can climb onto all sorts of furniture (oh no!) and so much more.
Robby is not only independent and assertive, but he has a very compassionate side to him as well. He is a sweet and friendly little boy who says 'hi!' to everyone and waves. A few weeks ago he started doing the 'Queen Elizabeth wave," as his Nona likes to say:) Hugs are his specialty and he loves to give other children hugs whether or not they want one! His favorite book is the 'bble,'(the 'i' is left out...it is so cute to hear him say it!). My heart is full of thankfulness to God to see a hunger for the Lord's truth has already begun in Robby.
Here are just a few of the words Robby says:
book
ball
hi
bye
buh buhs (bubbles)
oooh! He says this anytime he sees something of interest
apple
nnna (banana)
eye
nah nah (nose)
dada
mama (only on occasion)
mmmen (Amen)
papa (Poppy)
'ought' (hot)
old (cold)
up
dadee (doggy)
da (this is what he says for please...have no idea why!)
vrrmm (he makes this sound every time he sees a car, truck or bus)
He also knows many animal sounds (I love when he does it for a giraffe)and motions to songs. Well, I hope you all enjoyed a little update on one of my favorite guys!
